A child’s skull and all the components forming the ear, nose, and throat are slowly developed and only fully formed well after birth. Also since their innate immunity mechanisms are not yet fully established, the exposed mucous membranes in nose, sinuses and throat are prone to infections from the external environment. So ENT diseases are very common cases presenting to a general/family physician. This course covers in detail the common pediatric ENT diseases like Otitis, Sinusitis, Tonsillitis, Epistaxis etc., with updates on clinical approach and effective management.
