About the Course

Mortality due to cardiovascular disease has always been high across the world among men and increasingly among women too. In acute ischemic heart attack, the immediate hours are considered “Golden”. Correct and timely intervention in these initial few hours are critical for saving lives. GPs and FPs in the immediate neighborhood of such patients or on call, play a crucial role in such instances. They also have an important role in the sustained follow-up care. This short course deals with the approach to a case of chest pain in detail: the clinical features, differential diagnosis, first aid and management protocols.
